The Giant Eagle Experts: Time for Spring Cleaning

Spring has sprung, and it’s time to shake off the winter grime. Area Managers have been busy measuring carts and taking inventory of equipment so that we can do a little spring cleaning. Now we’re asking you, our helpful Sales Advisors, to chip in and help them out by combining open boxes of supplies, throwing away DDERs that are more than 90 days old, marking broken equipment so it can be thrown away and removing ALL unnecessary clutter from underneath your event carts.

If we all work together, we can get our areas looking good again. A neat and organized One to One area is a must. It makes setup and tear down so much easier when everything has a clearly marked place and gets put back in its place. The folks at Giant Eagle call this 5-S (Sort, Set-In-Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain). We are held to the same standards that their employees are—and it’s just makes good sense! We aren’t asking for you to put in any extra time, just organize as you are setting up and tearing down and that will keep our areas in tip top order.
