Editor’s Corner: We Value Your Feedback—and Support


As each year comes to a close, I like to look back at our progress here at Retail News Insider—and to get your feedback on where you are receiving the most value and what else you might like to see us cover. When reviewing the results from the 2014 reader satisfaction survey we sent out in early November, I was thrilled to see that 76 percent of our associates say Retail News Insider is the primary reason they feel connected to the company and 58 percent say that we make them feel like valued associates. This type of feedback is always so rewarding to hear.

As for individual features, you continue to tell us that you find our From the Front Lines feature particularly valuable. In fact, approximately half of our retail Sales Advisors say they actively implement the sales tips featured each month in that column. But we’re not resting on our laurels. As we plan our strategy for Retail News Insider in 2015, we’re taking all of your suggestions for additional content—such as international stories, more content featuring the various business units and additional insights directly from retailers and CPGs—under careful consideration.

As for this final issue of 2014, we’re going out on a strong note by featuring exclusive predictions for 2015 retail trends from leading industry experts, more sales tips for our Sales Advisors to implement right in time for the busiest season of the year and more. I hope you find all of our articles informative and enjoyable.
