Meijer is experiencing a lot of growth for the 2014 calendar year. They have nine new store grand openings and one grand re-opening planned, which will bring their store totals up to 213 by the end of the year. The grand re-opening will be taking place in Lansing, MI, while new locations will be opening throughout the Midwest, including in:
- South Haven, MI (opened 5/4/14)
- Whitestown, IN (opened 5/15/14)
- Plainfield, IN (opened 5/15/14)
- Bowling Green, KY (opened 6/8/14)
- Lafayette, IN (opened 6/15/14)
- Alma, MI (opened 6/15/14)
- Homer Glen, IL
- Mokena, IL
- Marysville, OH.
As Meijer’s interactive marketing partner, EMI will of course be helping out with the grand opening celebrations. EMI associates will be assisting with special events such as “Welcome and Learn” events, team member nights, ribbon cutting/soft openings, daily giveaways, community picnics and special chef appearances with Fabio Viviani (chef, restaurateur, author and TV personality) and EMI’s own Chef Tim.

The grand opening program consists of 4 weeks of events every day Sunday thru Saturday. In addition, special Mperks promotions will be executed every day of the first week of the grand opening and then on Saturdays and Sundays for the following 4-5 weeks.
