On February 3rd SAS partnered with Schenectady, NY-based Price Chopper Supermarkets to manage their in-store execution program.
In support of this new partnership, SAS has added several management team members, including Kathi Caruso, who joins us as our in-house program manager overseeing the operations of the Smart Team program. Kathi came from one of the premier big box retailers in the nation. Her dedication to a strong partnership with the management at Price Chopper and her experience driving execution at the field level has already created excitement at Price Chopper. Also joining Kathi are Logistics Manager Peter Torrell and Area Managers Ron Bonacquisti, Lotar Nordman and Jamie Breton. Collectively, the group oversees 18 SAS team leads and a growing number of field associates in 6 states.
In addition to the new team members in place, Store Tracker technology (our proprietary software that enables the tracking of daily in-store activities via two-way information flow between the Price Chopper and SAS systems) is also now fully engaged—allowing the program to reach new heights in terms of impact, reporting and data collection. The Price Chopper management team is excited with the technology we have provided our teams and enthusiastic to see the positive changes that will come from this new partnership.
