Showing True Holiday Spirt

Sometimes it can be too easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Area Manager Renee Picarsic of North Hills (Pittsburgh), PA recently shared the following heartwarming story that reminds us what the holidays are really all about.

Sales Advisor Peggy Pauli was working at the grand opening of the Good Cents store on McKnight Road in Pittsburgh. Before beginning her shift, Peggy spun a prize wheel sponsored by a local TV station and won a $25 Good Cents gift card. As Peggy was working, she noticed a woman going in and out of the store with cart after cart full of groceries. Peggy asked the shopper if she was planning a big event, and the woman replied that she was buying food to send to the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Peggy immediately reached into her pocket and gave the woman the gift card that she had won earlier.

What a great show of true holiday spirit— well done, Peggy!
