While I normally use the newsletter to tell you about the exciting events we have coming up, this month I’d like to take the opportunity to acknowledge that we did not make your lives very easy in the past weeks. We had a number of last-minute requests from Giant Eagle that turned out to be quite complex and resulted in a lot of schedule changes. The pharmacy events in Pittsburgh, the Valu King to Good Cents conversion in Ohio and the expansion of grilling events everywhere in mid-May were challenging to say the least. We added events at the last minute and then cancelled them just as quickly. I am very sorry for the havoc that this created.
That said, I am so proud of how all of you handled these changes, from the office team, to our Area and District Managers, to our awesome Sales Advisors and Leads. Thank you sincerely for your patience and flexibility. We really do have the best team! You have my commitment that we will do everything we can to minimize these fire drills. Sometimes it will be unavoidable as we strive to serve the needs of our customer, Giant Eagle. But, even so, I can do better job of managing these situations, and I will.
Now that things have calmed down, enjoy the summer and have fun with friends and family. Have fun with your events, too! Enjoy taking the first taste of every sampling event so you can talk about how great the item is with your customers. And, if you are doing a grilling event, please remember to follow safety practices and be very, very careful.
