The Giant Eagle Experts: Giving Vendors What They Love

july2013-OTO1I am delighted to take this opportunity to let you know what our vendors think about their events with us at OTO!  As Sales Advisors are on the front lines everyday sampling and selling products from our vendors, it’s important for you to know what they’re looking for.

When a vendor has a new item, they love that you use the “NEW ITEM” cart sign and the “NEW ITEM” balloons to showcase their items. As you know, this brings special attention to engage the customer to try the item.

Vendors also love it when you display the event cart with their items and kit materials and use your special touch to make the cart look extra special and inviting to the Giant Eagle customer. They especially appreciate it when you decorate the cart for special occasions and special events to make it look festive and fun!

As for event feedback, our vendors cannot wait to see their Event Evaluations and find out what the customers are saying about their product. They also love to see photos of their events. Many of our vendors are from out of state and cannot always visit the event in person, so a picture says a thousand words. Keep the photos coming!

Of course, the vendor really loves when you sell lots and lots of their product and educate consumers about it. The vendor feels like you are on their team for the day and that you are contributing to their success.

What you do every day is so important to the success of not only our company but to our customers—the vendors—as well. I would like to personally thank you and extend a big thank you from our vendors for all you do!
