Editor’s Corner: A New Year, A Fresh Look

Welcome to the newly refreshed Retail News Insider. Like all of our hard-working associates and retail partners, we’re always striving to improve. Over the next couple of months, you’ll see a gradual series of changes designed to better serve you—from making our pages more visually engaging to featuring more international stories, as many of you have requested.

Though they may look a little different, most of the departments in this issue should feel familiar to you. We have our regular Market Watch feature, this month focusing on Generation Z. These are the children and teens of today who will shape the way retailers and brands engage with consumers as a whole in the not-too-distant future. Continuing on the theme of up-and-coming trends, our Trending Tastes feature this month takes a look at the flavors and ingredients that are predicted to have a powerful influence on offerings in restaurants, grocery stores and beyond in the coming year.

We also have our Essentials to Engagement and From the Front Lines columns, featuring timely tips to help our Sales Advisors in the field make the most of every shopper interaction. And we’ll give you a peek at one of the newest customized demonstration event programs Interactions has developed in our regular Knowledge Portal feature.

As always, I hope you find this issue informative and enjoyable.

All the best,

ks-sig
